The UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development is an action programme for people, the planet and prosperity signed in 2015 by 193 Member Countries of the United Nations.
It sets out 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) comprising a total of 169 targets to be achieved by 2030. States are obliged to pursue them. Citizens, businesses and nonprofits are urged to do their part to ensure this can happen.
