ISO

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organization that develops and publishes voluntary standards across various industries and sectors.

Key standards for sustainability include, among many others, ISO 26000 for social responsibility or ISO 14067 for quantifying the carbon footprint of products as well as ISO 14040/44 for guidelines on life cycle assessments (LCAs). These standards promote transparency, accountability and continuous improvement in sustainability efforts.
