SCIENCE-BASED
INITIATIVE (SBTi)

Discover our definition of SBTi below

Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a joint initiative of Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). SBTi supports companies in the process of defining Science-Based Targets (SBTs), i.e. greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in line with the most recent scientific knowledge about climate action.

In fact, the private sector which, directly or indirectly, is responsible for much of the greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, plays a crucial role in decarbonisation.

Countless companies have set SBTs and their number grows exponentially year by year.
