UNFCCC

The UNFCCC or United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is an international treaty adopted during the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.

The prime objective of the UNFCCC is to address climate change on a global scale and coordinate international efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and limit the impacts of global warming.

One of the key events associated with UNFCCC is the Conference of Parties (COP), an annual meeting where representatives of nations gather to discuss and negotiate concrete action to address climate change.
